At A Safe Space for Self-Injury Support, we offer specialized groups tailored to different age groups, providing a safe space for personal growth, emotional well-being, and skill-building.
At A Safe Space for Self Injury Support, our focus isn't only on self injury. Our free to attend groups are welcome to adolescents and adults facing struggles with Anxiety and Depression, as well as people who are experiencing thoughts of self injury who haven't done so. We work to make meetings inclusive and accepting, so despite operating within a church, our program isn't religiously centered.
Safe Steps for Teens
Safe Steps for Teens is a structured, ongoing weekly group aimed at empowering adolescents with skills to manage challenging emotions, particularly those tied to self-injury. In a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental setting, participants explore new coping techniques. Throughout our sessions, we cover a variety of topics, introduce alternative coping strategies, and incorporate art as a means of emotional expression.
Orientation for Teens and Parents/Guardians
Before joining, each teen and their parent or guardian will attend an orientation session with the group leader. This meeting introduces the group’s structure, addresses questions, and helps us set goals to work on in the group.
Participation in Safe Steps for Teen is voluntary but we require anyone under the age of 18 to be under the care of a licensed clinician.
Safe Skills for Adults
Safe Skills for Adults is an ongoing weekly support group dedicated to helping adults manage self-injury and related mental health challenges. In a supportive, empathetic environment, participants work through their challenges, and develop practical life skills. Through continuous support and interactive discussions, the group fosters resilience, personal growth, and the skills needed to manage daily challenges.
Orientation for Safe Skills for Adults
Before joining the group a prospective adult will attend an orientation session with the group leader. This meeting introduces the group’s structure, addresses questions, and set goals you would like to achieve in this group.
Participation in Safe Skills for Adults is voluntary but we strongly recommend being under the care of a licensed clinician.
If you would like assistance finding a licensed clinician, I can help direct you to finding someone that fits your needs.
