
Safe Steps for Teens is a structured, ongoing weekly group aimed at empowering adolescents with skills to manage challenging emotions, particularly those tied to self-injury. In a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental setting, participants explore new coping techniques. Throughout our sessions, we cover a variety of topics, introduce alternative coping strategies, and incorporate art as a means of emotional expression.
Safe Skills for Adults is an ongoing weekly support group dedicated to helping adults manage self-injury and related mental health challenges. In a supportive, empathetic environment, participants work through their challenges and develop practical life skills. Through continuous support and interactive discussions, the group fosters resilience, personal growth, and the skills needed to manage daily challenges.
Before joining Safe Steps for Teens, each teen and their parent or guardian will attend an orientation session with the group leader. This meeting introduces the group’s structure, addresses questions, and helps us set goals to work on in the group.
Before joining Safe Skills for Adults, the prospective adult will attend an orientation session with the group leader. This meeting introduces the group’s structure, addresses questions, and sets goals you would like to achieve in this group.
